North American Butterfly Association July Butterfly Counts
Thank you for joining us for the 2021 4th of July NABA butterfly counts! SW Michigan dates and locations were as follows:
Allegan - Wednesday, July 7
Rogue River - Monday, July 5th
Newaygo - Sunday, July 18
Muskegon - Saturday, July 10
Kalamazoo - Saturday, July 24
- Eight people braved the mosquitos and participated in the Kalamazoo NABA butterfly Count on Saturday July 24th. We tallied almost 1200 individuals of 35 species. The highlights were the almost 300 Spicebush Swallowtail found that day along with almost 250 Monarchs. See final count information here.
