Butterfly Monitor Trainings  

We are looking for new citizen scientists to monitor butterfly routes in 2018! In order to become a monitor with the Michigan Butterfly Network you must complete one of the training workshops. Click through the location tabs below to learn more about the trainings in an area near you. Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo Nature Center

Butterfly Monitor Training: A two-part classroom training will be held on Thursdays, April 26th & May 10th from 5:30-7:00pm with a culminating field day on Saturday, May 19th from 2:00-4:00pm. Registration Required.

Butterfly Monitor Refresher Training: Geared toward returning monitors, this training will be held on Saturday, June 2nd from 12:30-2:00pm. Participants of this refresher training are welcome to join us for a field day immediately following the indoor session Saturday, June 2nd from 2:00-4:00pm. Registration Required.

Blue Water River Walk 

Butterfly Monitor Training: A free classroom and field training will be held on Saturday, May 12th from 10:00am-2:00pm . Please contact Kirsten Lyons at stewardship@scriver.org or 810-294-4965 to register. Pre-registration required by May 10th.

Blue Water Butterflies: A free public presentation by Barb Ford, MiBN Butterfly Monitor, will be held on Wednesday, May 23 from 6:00-7:00pm at the St. Clair County Administration Building auditorium - 200 Grand River Ave., Port Huron. Registration is not required. 

 

Flint
